| ***Space is limited*** Summer Day Camp Grades 1st - 8th (ages 6 - 13) Need a great day camp? We have just the right program! Camp Adventures Day Camp is a unique, fun filled day camp experience. Each week campers can be creative, learn new skills and have fun. Activities include growing vegetables in our organic garden, feeding live insects to the plants in our carnivorous plant nursery or caring for various types of wildlife, including the newest members of our family 2 baby Red Ear Slider turtles. Each session of this years camps are based on a habitat that can be found right here in North Carolina! We will discover the what makes our state unique and the vast differences in various habitats. To bring these lessons to life there is an optional over night adventure trip to explore these exciting habitats hands on. June 10 & 11th - $45 Session I Mountain, Waterfalls and Caverns June 14th – July 2nd Swimming Lessons/Water safety Course at Fulton YMCA Adventures Landing Piedmont Environmental Center Habitat Hike CiCi’s Pizza Summer Movies at the Grand Day camp rate $90 a week includes swim lesson does not include lunch and field trips Adventure Trip June 25th -27th (optional) We will use the natural beauty of Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Linville Caverns to learn scientific terms, natural land mass types and foundations, indigenous wild life and more. We will visit Little Switzerland NC and mine for minerals and pick apples. We will raft and inner tube down the New River and spend the day at Tweetsie Railroad Theme Park. Trip cost $200 Session II Wildlife Adventure July 5th – 30th Swimming Lessons/Water safety Course at Fulton YMCA Greensboro Natural Science Center Summer Movies at the Grand Bounce U Day camp rate $90 a week includes swim lesson does not include lunch and field trips Adventure Trip July 22nd-25th (optional) This session is adventure packed and it is our best trip! We will spend 4 days in the outer banks discovering, observing and living with wildlife that cannot be found any where else in the state. We will visit Mackay Island National Wildlife Refuge, the Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education Center and Currituck Banks. Our trip will culminate with a visit to The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center were will take a Dolphin Cruise. Trip cost $200 Session III Marine Science August 2nd – August 24th Swimming Lessons/Water safety Course at Fulton YMCA Piedmont Environmental Center Aquatic Hiking Emerald Point Gatti's Pizza Day camp rate $90 a week includes swim lesson does not include lunch and field trips Adventure Trip 15th - 18th (optional) Campers explore marine habitats, collect marine creatures on an ocean research vessel, enjoy the sun on a barrier island beach near New Bern, NC and have dinner with the critters at the NC Aquarium. This session focuses on the several natural habitats found in the area, ocean, river, pond and forest. Campers spend time conducting various forms of research in each habitat.
