| Middle School Camp of Science and Math |
| The middle school years are a period of great transition, between childhood and adolescence. It is a time when students acquire the skills and reasoning abilities that prepare them for the rigorous work of high school and continue the journey from dependence to independence. The purpose of our summer program is to provide stimulating, hands-on activities to illustrate science and math concepts and skills. We will also reinforce basic study skills and teach students how to make connections to further their learning. 6/15 – 6/19 Rockets 6/22 – 6/26 Splish-SPlash Physics 6/29 – 7/3 Chemistry Reactions 7/6 – 7/10 Wild, Wacky, Crazy Concoctions 7/13 – 7/17 Forensic Science 7/20 – 7/24 Mad Scientist 7/27 – 7/31 Eruptions and Explosions 8/3 – 8/7 Computer Animation 8/10 – 8/14 Spirit Week Registration $50 Weekly Tuition $85 One Time Lab Fee $25 (Lab fee applies to students enrolled 5 weeks or more) Camp Hours 7:15-5:45 Individual week enrollment is available, if enrolling in 3 weeks or less registration is $25 and tuition must be paid in full by June 1st Field Trips Swimming (weekly) $2 Yoga and Sport Activities at our sister camp Instant WePlay (weekly) Funnigans $9 includes lunch Adventures Landing $6 Sciworks $6 Other activities: tubing, hiking, fishing, horseback riding, rockwall climbing What to Bring to Camp Lunch water bottle or bottle water Blanket or sleepingbag Oversized T-Shirt Wear comfortable clothing and tennis shoes towel and bathing suit on swim days Camp Discovery will also offer a morning juice bar open to parents and students serving a variety of smoothies and liquid refreshments Canteen items will be sold daily.
