We will pack our backpacks and race around the world, learning as we go.  Each week
we will visit a different country using science to learn about weather, natural habitats,
animals, native foods, customs and much more.  All crafts and snacks for the week will
reflect both science and the culture of our place of study.  Camp will culminate with a
day for students to share what they learned with friends and family through short skits,
customary dances and music, exotic recipes for tasting and an arts and crafts display.

Middle School Camp
of
Science and Math
The middle school years are a period of great transition, between childhood and
adolescence.  It is a time when students acquire the skills and reasoning abilities that
prepare them for the rigorous work of high school and continue the journey from dependence
to independence.  The purpose of our summer program is to provide stimulating, hands-on
activities to illustrate science and math concepts and skills.  We will also reinforce basic
study skills and teach students how to make connections to further their learning.
