We will pack our backpacks and race around the world, learning as we go. Each week we will visit a different country using science to learn about weather, natural habitats, animals, native foods, customs and much more. All crafts and snacks for the week will reflect both science and the culture of our place of study. | Chemtastic combines math and science to create exciting experiments for campers in grades 3 – 5. Each week offers an edible project, an experiment that goes BOOM and experiments that focus on enhancing math and critical thinking skills. Campers will also learn the importance of measurement and sequencing, especially as they create edible projects! | The middle school years are a period of great transition, between childhood and adolescence. It is a time when students acquire the skills and reasoning abilities that prepare them for the rigorous work of high school and continue the journey from dependence to independence. The purpose of our summer program is to provide stimulating, hands-on activities to illustrate science and math concepts and skills.
